Beurs van Berlage - Amsterdam Print E-mail
Amsterdam

The Beurs van Berlage is a milestone in the history of modern architecture. It is build in the same period as Amsterdam’s Centraal Station and the State Museum, but what is really special about the Beurs, however, is that 80% of it is authentic. The Beurs van Berlage organization is continually restoring spaces to their original state. The most recent example is the Safe Deposits in the basement.

In the Main Hall of the Beurs van Berlage exhibitions are hosted on a regular basis. For an overview of current and coming exhibitions

Beursfoyer
The Beursfoyer is the connecting room between the large Beurs van Berlage Halls; Main Hall, Yakult Hall, Amvest Hall.

AMVEST HALL
The Amvest Hall is for many the great surprise of the Beurs van Berlage. It is in fact a hall within a hall. A beautiful glass pavilion has been constructed within the original Corn Exchange Hall, containing an auditorium for 180-230 people.

Schipperscafé
The former Schipperscafé offers a lovely space with 4 large windows facing the lively Damrak-street.

 Keurzaal      Assay Hall (KEURZAAL)
The Assay Hall (Keurzaal) is a flexible room of 220 m2. Originally this room used to be an open courtyard, today it has a glass ceiling which makes it very light.

Berlage Hall
The Berlage Hall is an elegant, monumental hall on the first floor, immediately above the Beurs van Berlage Café. This Hall is very suitable for a lecture or conference with distinction, up till approx. 180 att.

THE SAFE DEPOSITS
The splendid reception rooms of the recently reopened Safe Deposit are ideal for exclusive receptions and dinners (maximum of 180 guests).

THE Rooms
Behind the galleries of the Main Hall, on the first floor, several smaller rooms are available. Formerly these were in use as offices for the stock-traders.
