The Collection Enriched - From Bruegel to Bosch, Magritte to Dalí

The presentation of Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen’s collection is rearranged every two years. This time it has been enriched with more than twenty loans from other Dutch museums and from the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp.

Keukenhof opening

The annual Keukenhof flower event opens in March, taking due inspiration from Amsterdam 2013. In the 175-year-old Artis Royal Zoo, the exhibition Bloemenzee will explore the history of the zoo as a park in full bloom. March is also the 160th anniversary of the birth of Vincent van Gogh, plus a special anniversary exhibition will open at the Frans Hals Museum in Haarlem.

Treaty of Utrecht 2013

In 2013, the 300th anniversary of the Peace Treaty of Utrecht will be celebrated in a grand way. The real festivities will only begin on 11 April 2013, but over the next few years many events will lead up to the celebrations.

Mike Kelley in Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam

From December 15, 2012 the Stedelijk will present Mike Kelley. This retrospective represents Kelley’s artistic output from the 1970s until his untimely death in early 2012.
