Bonnefantenmuseum
One of the top tourist attractions in Maastricht is the Bonnefantenmuseum, which was designed by Italian architect Aldo Rossi and opened in 1995. This characteristic building with conical towers rising 28 meters into the air stands on a grandiose site on the bank of the River Maas and overlooks the historical heart of the city. The grandcafé and the museum shop are open to everyone.This museum is an absolute must for art lovers. It has late-medieval art objects and an extensive collection of contemporary works by Joseph Beuys, Merz and Dibbets.
