Showtime at the Jenevermuseum |

From late November 2009, it is Showtime at the Jenevermuseum. This autumn, the Jenevermuseum will showcase its latest acquisitions for the very first time. Many objects have been added to the collection in recent years, ranging from tools, jenever jars and bottles to personal artefacts such as medals of honour and certificates.
Bols Collection
The Jenevermuseum is particularly honoured to have acquired approximately 80% of the Bols collection. The museum selected the objects in partnership with guest curators Ton Vermeulen (historian and life-long curator of the Bols collection) and Hans van der Sloot (historian). These objects (all jenever-related, of course) range from bottles, jars and glasses to sculptures, tableware and promotional materials. A particularly noteworthy acquisition is a late 18th Century Delfts Blue tile picture, depicting a jenever distiller practising his craft.
Personal recollections
The Jenevermuseum wishes to express its immense gratitude to the donors, professional distillers as well as private donors, who have contributed so generously to the museum, donating objects that hold so many personal memories. The sheer diversity of the collection, much of which has never been on display before, makes this exhibition even more special.
