Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands officially opened the extended and renovated Het Noordbrabants Museum and the new Stedelijk Museum ’s-Hertogenbosch.

On Saturday 25 May 2013, the two museums opened their doors to the public. With one ticket, visitors can now enjoy the offerings of both Het Noordbrabants Museum and Stedelijk Museum 's-Hertogenbosch. Combined, the museums present the most diverse range of art and culture in southern Holland: archaeology, cultural history, from classical and modern masters to contemporary art and design. With over 5,000 square meters of exhibition space, a museum shop, restaurant and library, the Museum Quarter now ranks among the great museums of Holland.

Het Noordbrabants Museum has been renovated and extended over the last two years. The Stedelijk Museum 's-Hertogenbosch is a completely new building. Both museums are connected by a glass gallery around a monumental garden. The Museum Quarter was commissioned by the Province of North Brabant and the Municipality of 's-Hertogenbosch.
