Processing times for a Caribbean visa
Visa applications are usually processed within one week, but processing times can differ depending on the country, the purpose of travel or personal circumstances. It’s always advisable to apply for a visa well before your trip. For more information, please contact the Dutch embassy in your country of residence.

Cost of a Caribbean visa application
When applying for a visa you will need to pay a fee up front for your visa application to be processed. Processing your application involves costs, whether you are issued with a visa or not. In other words, paying a fee does not guarantee that you will be granted a visa, but it is required to initiate the visa application procedure. For more information about visa fees, please contact the Dutch embassy in your country of residence.

If your visa application is refused
If your application is refused, the embassy will send you a written notification stating the grounds for the refusal. It will also tell you whether there are any legal remedies against the refusal, such as an objection or application for judicial review. If this is the case, the notification will also state the competent authority to which you should apply and the time limit for doing so.

More information on applying for a Caribbean visa
The embassy or consulate in your region will be able to tell you about the requirements and conditions that apply to your intended destination/destinations and purpose/purposes of travel, and about the documents you will need for the visa in question. This information is also available on the embassy or consulate’s website.
Application for extending your stay in the Caribbean on a non-standard visa

For a long-term stay, e.g. for temporary or permanent relocation or for the purpose of work, submit your application to the competent authority of the country in question. For more information, contact the Dutch embassy in your country of residence.
