Rotterdam Marketing has won the Bronze M&IT Industry Award for ‘best overseas convention bureau’.
Rotterdam Marketing is extremely proud of winning the award. Director Ton Wesselink: “This is a great reward for our work and the efforts the city is undertaking in the UK to raise its profile.” The golden award went to Monaco.
The winners of the M&IT Awards were revealed at the gala presentation dinner on Tuesday at the Battersea Evolution venue in London. The M&IT Awards are the longest established awards programme in the meetings industry. Organized by Meetings & Incentive Travel magazine, the awards event brings together all sectors of the business to celebrate and reward excellence of service and product, and to raise funds for the charity Save the Children. In total there are 19 awards voted for by the readers of Meetings & Incentive Travel magazine. All votes are carefully audited and verified by the independent Audit Bureau of Circulations.
Rotterdam Marketing [Convention Bureau Rotterdam] was competing with the congress offices in Hong Kong, Vienna, Malta, Monaco and fellow Dutch city The Hague. “It’s a compliment that the efforts of Rotterdam Marketing have been so well received and rewarded. Rotterdam Marketing offers independent advice free of charge to bring conferences and events to the city and to give them a high standard of quality. Service and hospitality are our priority. The city has been making great strides in recent years, and with new and improved venue options opening, our proposition is getting stronger and stronger. To have Rotterdam Marketing recognised so highly by the votes of UK organisers is a great honour,” said Ton Wesselink, director Rotterdam Marketing.
