Maastricht Aachen Airport to Ibiza with

During the next summer season Maastricht Aachen Airport will be connected with yet another new destination. From June 30th will connect the airport with the popular Mediterranean island Ibiza. is an initiative by two experienced local entrepreneurs in the travel trade. These are Oscar Stallinga, who has been owner of the Toerkoop Globus travel agencies in Maastricht and Eijsden for over 20 years and is acting chairman of Toerkoop Netherlands. He has joined efforts with Rob van der Poel, whom has worked for and operated touroperating companies for over 40 years and is residing in Maastricht. They form an strong duo with a longstanding experience in many fields of the travel trade as well as the Maastricht region.

Oscar Stallinga: “Every day we meet people looking for a holiday that offers them the benefits of departing from an airport close to home with a little hassle as possible from a travel agent they are familiar with. Secondly we see demand for destinations like Ibiza has rapidly increased over the past years. Thus far we have had to tell this growing group of travelers that the possibilities from our region were limited and for years we have been contemplating to do something about it”.

Rob van der Poel adds “In addition to establishing a locally focused product we felt it was important to bring back the feeling of flying as it used to be. No hassle over fees for checking a bag, charging a couple of euro’s for a cup of coffee and things like that. We have chosen to offer a total package at an attractive fee which allows our passengers to start their holiday worry free. At the same time we have not foregone on the flexibility today’s passengers have grown accustomed to”.

Maastricht Aachen Airport also welcomes the new destination, as Mark Keulers, airport spokesperson explains “With the start of the Ibiza flights we see yet another initiative originating from the airports immediate surroundings by individuals with a longstanding reputation in the travel trade. We are obviously delighted that we are able to announce yet another new destination and based on the collaboration with EuroFlyTickets until now we have high expectations of the new service”.
